National Education and Higher Education Minister, Akram Shehayeb, on Monday received Kuwaiti ambassador to Lebanon, Abdel Aal Al-Qenai, who came on a protocol visit.
Talks between the pair reportedly touched on the bilateral educational relations and prospects of cooperation.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the historic ties between the two brotherly countries and Kuwait's constant stand by Lebanon in difficult times, notably in supporting Lebanese institutions, building schools, providing aid via the Kuwaiti Fund, not to mention Kuwait's support to Lebanon in the issue of displacement.
On the other hand, Minister Shehayeb met with UNRWA Director General Claudio Cordoni, accompanied by a delegation.
Discussions reportedly touched on media reports of measures taken against Palestinian students in public schools- which the Ministry denied.
Shehayeb stressed the Ministry's continual commitment to providing education to all students on Lebanese territories.
