Sisi: health initiatives contributed to reducing COVID cases

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the presidential initiatives implemented in the health domain have largely contributed to decreasing the number of coronavirus cases and deaths.

During the World Youth Forum’s session on the global coronavirus outbreak, Sisi said the pandemic has been a major challenge for humanity and created complicated political, economic and social problems.

Sisi reviewed the efforts exerted by Egypt to confront the disease, referring to the health initiatives carried out in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

He said the initiatives were feted by the international community, topped by the World Health Organization.

He noted that Egypt – which was one of the world’s most affected countries by Hepatitis Virus C has now become the least affected.
