Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi discussed with President of the International Gymnastics Federation (IGF) Morinari Watanabe all the preparations related to Egypt’s hosting of the World Gymnastics Championship.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed rendering the championship successful, with both pointing out to Egypt’s repeated success in hosting major sporting tournaments and events at the regional and global levels.

In a statement issued by the ministry Saturday 18/03/2023, Sobhi said that he discussed with the Japanese official all necessary preparations as regards the hosting of the World Gymnastics Championship.

He also wished success to all the players participating in the tournament, including the Egyptian team.

For his part, the Japanese official extended thanks and gratitude to the youth minister and the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation for the fruitful cooperation.

He also lauded Egypt’s huge sports infrastructure, which is in line with international standards.
