Minister of Water and Electricity Abdullah Al-Hussayen has signed 24 contracts worth more than SR362 million for the implementation of a number of water and sewage projects Kingdomwide, Saudi Press Agency said.
According to the SPA report, the first, second and third contracts are concerned with the implementation of water and sewage network projects in Riyadh, Qasim and Hail regions, with implementation periods reaching 36, 30, and 24 months, respectively.
The fourth, fifth and sixth contracts will cover maintenance and operation of IT system at the ministry headquarters (36 months), completion of branch lines of sewage system in Madinah (36 months) and operation and maintenance of water networks in Tabuk (36 months).
The seventh and eighth contracts are dealing with the implementation of water carrying lines and collection tanks in Arar (24 months) and Jazan Region (12 months), respectively, whereas the ninth contract is related to follow-up and implementation of water and sewage projects in Dammam (24 months), the SPA report said.
The remaining contracts cover operation and maintenance of dams in Jazan (36 months) and Qasim (36 months) , water projects in Arar (36 months), Khaibar Province, Madinah (36 months), Ahsa (18 months), sewage projects in Taif (24 months) and Hafr Al-Batin (36.5 months), the report said.
