Sunny weather forecast to Monday-JMD

Temperatures will exceed their seasonal average Saturday, by about 4-5 degrees Celsius and the weather will be sunny and moderate in mountains and plains and warm in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

On Sunday, rain showers are forecast in the far northeastern regions of Jordan’s Badia due to a weak state of atmospheric instability, and winds will be southwesterly moderate.

On Monday, a slight drop in temperatures is forecast.

As for Tuesday, the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, including the Kingdom, will be affected by an air depression accompanied by a cold and moist air mass of central Europe origin, as showers of rain will fall in the Kingdom’s western areas and downpour gradually extends to cover all regions.

Rainfall will be often heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail in some areas, which will lead to forming torrents in the valleys and low areas, including the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD said.

Today, temperatures in Amman will hit 23 degrees Celsius, dipping to 8C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 30C, sliding to 16C at night.
