Baghdad, The Syrian National Seismological Center announced that it had recorded 22 earthquakes, from 8 am on Saturday, February 25, until 9:30 pm on the same day.
The center stated on its Facebook page that the seismic situation tends to be stable, as the epicenters of tremors greater than 4 degrees returned to the Turkish mainland, while weak tremors of less than 5 degrees and a limited number of moderate tremors will continue to be recorded from time to time.
The center had announced earlier on Saturday that 61 weak earthquakes had been recorded during the past 24 hours until 8:am.
In a statement, the director of the center, Raed Ahmed, explained that, according to these data, the seismic situation is moderate, limited tremors and a number of weak tremors, meaning that it takes the nature of interim stability.
Ahmed pointed out that the sea level is within the normal situation, calling not to be drawn into rumors or to believe them, and to rely on the information provided by the center only.
