BEIJING, China, During a visit to China, Syria's delegation of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU), headed by Chairman, Jamal al-Qadiri, discussed with members from the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), means to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation.
The possibility to supply Syrian workers with the required medical equipment, to develop work at the labour health care institutions in all provinces, was also on the table.
Al-Qadiri hailed the solid historic and friendly relations binding the two countries, underlining the importance of China's participation in the reconstruction stage in Syria.
He referred to the social and health services and the aid, which have been provided to the working class and to the families of the martyrs and the wounded from this class.
For his part, the ACFTU First Secretary, expressed full confidence in the Syrian people and workers' ability, to rebuild their country again.
He affirmed readiness of China's workers to provide all types of assistance and support to the Syrian labourers in the stage of reconstruction.
The Syrian delegation also visited the Asian Development Bank in Beijing. The All-China Federation of Trade Unions, embraces about 300 million labourers.
