MOSCOW, Two Russian pilots were killed when a Ka-52 attack helicopter crashed in eastern Syria, Xinhua news agency reported, quoting the Russian Ministry of Defence on Monday.
The helicopter crashed during a scheduled flight over Syria's eastern regions, the ministry was quoted as saying in a statement by Sputnik news agency.
Preliminary information revealed that the helicopter could have experienced a technical malfunction before the crash, the statement said.
On May 3, a Russian Su-30SM fighter jet crashed in the Mediterranean Sea, just off the western coast of Syria.
