Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Preparing for Imminent Military Operation in Northern Hama

TEHRAN The Damascus Army is preparing for fresh military operations against terrorist groups in Northern Hama as the Syrian government has dispatched massive military convoys to the region.

The Syrian Army has dispatched massive military convoys comprising tens of vehicles carrying military equipment and Syrian Army troops to their military positions in Northern Hama, including Shirz and al-Tarmiseh near Mahradeh in Northern Hama, the Arabic-language Al-Alam news website quoted an informed military source as saying.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Syrian Army is preparing for fresh military operations against terrorist groups in Northern Hama as the Damascus government has dispatched massive military convoys to the region.

The Arabic-language Al-Alam news website quoted an informed military source as saying that the Syrian Army has dispatched massive military convoys comprising tens of vehicles carrying military equipment and Syrian Army troops to their military positions in Northern Hama, including Shirz and al-Tarmiseh near Mahradeh in Northern Hama.

The source also noted that the Syrian Army has started hitting the terrorists' military positions and movements in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, and said that the Syrian Army intends to start its military operation for purging the terrorists from the demilitarized zone in the coming days.

It said that the Russian-Syrian fighter jets have destroyed the terrorists' military positions in al-Latamineh town in Northern Hama and Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib to the city of Ariha along Aleppo-Lattakia Highway.

Meantime, the Syrian and Russian air and ground forces in joint operations heavily pounded and destroyed the military convoys of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay'at and Jeish al-Izzeh terrorists on Idlib-Hama road while they were heading to confront the Syrian Army in Northern Syria.

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik news agency reported that the Russian and Syrian fighter jets targeted and pounded the terrorists' military positions in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, including in al-Latamineh, Kafar Zita, al-Zuka and Khan Sheikhoun, destroying several military positions and ammunition-arms depot of Tahrir al-Sham and Jeish al-Izzeh terrorists.

The Syrian Army's artillery and missile units also pounded the terrorists' military positions and movements in Mourek, Tal al-Malh and al-Jobin in Northern Hama, destroying several targets.

Meantime, a Syrian Army's military source also reported that several logistical positions of Tahrir al-Sham and Jeish al-Izzeh were destroyed in Russian and Syrian airstrikes in Southern Idlib.

Another military source also said that the Syrian and Russian fighter jets also destroyed terrorists' military convoy heading to Tal Melh from Latmin in Northern Hama.

The source also reiterated that a military commander of Jeish al-Izzeh named Yasser Ahmad al-Saloum was also killed during the joint military operations by Russia and Syria.

Dara'a

The Syrian Army discovered a mass grave containing dead bodies of the government forces killed during the occupation of Dara'a province by terrorist groups, media sources said.

A military source said that the Syrian Army found a mass grave containing 13 corpses near the city of Navi in Western Dara'a.

The source noted that the Syrian Soldiers had been killed in clashes with the terrorists in Dara'a region over the past six years.

The Syrian Army has discovered a number of mass graves containing bodies of Syrian soldiers after liberation of the Southern parts of Syria since last year.
