Syria, Iraq discuss means to enhance bilateral relations

Baghdad, SANA- Syria and Iraq have discussed means to enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, underlining the importance of activating the work of the parliamentary friendship committees between the two sides.

That came on Tuesday during a meeting that brought together Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed and Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah.

A statement by the Council Presidency said: “Ahmed stressed during the meeting that the stability of Syria represents a basic pillar to ensure stability in the region, and that this stage requires joint steps and cooperation to consolidate security and prosperity and ensure a better future for our peoples.”
