LONDON, - The British government hosts in London, on Wednesday (today), a meeting for the High Negotiations Committee of the Syrian Opposition (HNC) with foreign ministers of the Syria Friends Group.
During the meeting, to be chaired by the British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, the HNC will launch its political vision for Syria, which details how they will aim to negotiate a political end to the conflict, and what a future political system will look like.
The secretary general of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, Anas al-Abdah, and the HNC general coordinator, Riyadh Hijab, will take part in declaring the vision.
The declaration will include the major steps of the proposed political process, including a transitional authority, guaranteeing that it comprises all Syrian groups and components of the society.
Today's meeting is also expected to discuss the forced displacement and demographic changes, conducted by the Al-Assad government, in the besieged Syrian areas.
The HNC is an umbrella organisation, formed at the end of 2015, to represent the moderate political and military groups that oppose the Bashar Al-Assad government.
