Syria participates in Extraordinary Meeting of PUIC Permanent Committee on Palestine, Tehran

Tehran- The Fourth Extraordinary Meeting of Permanent Committee on Palestine at the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (PUIC) started activities in Tehran on Monday under the title “Jerusalem… A Symbol of Unity and Victory” with the participation of a delegation from the Syrian People’s Assembly.

The meeting, held with the participation of delegations from several Islamic states, discussed means to use the Parliamentary capabilities to support the Palestinian cause and to put an immediate end to the Israeli acts of aggression against the Palestinian people.

The delegation of the People’s Assembly is headed by the Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Mohammad Akram al-Ajlani and it includes Maysa Saleh, Secretary of the Assembly, and Mohammad Yahya Sheikho, Public Relations Official at the Assembly.

The meeting was attended by Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran Dr. Shafiq Dayoub.
