Syria participates in World Robotics Olympiad in Germany

Dortmund, SANA- Syria is participating in the World Robotics Olympiad, which is being held in the German city of “Dortmund” from Nov. 16th to 20th, with the participation of 2,275 male and female contestants distributed over 365 teams representing 73 countries, under the title “My Robot My Friend.”

The Excellence and Creativity Commission stated in a statement that the Syrian Olympics team participating in this Olympiad includes Walid Shibani, Sami Maarouf, Karim Madi and Coach Abdul Rahman Hourani, as part of the robot missions’ competition for the upper category.

The Commission indicated that the Syrian scientific expertise in robotics will also be present in this World Olympiad through Dr. Muhib al-Naqari, who was chosen as part of the jury for the future creators competitions for the upper category, as well as Dr. Al-Mohanad Makki, who will participate in the arbitration of the future engineers’ competitions.
