Syria, world Food Program to enhance cooperation

Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with Executive Director of UN World Food Program (UNWFP), David Beasley and the accompanying delegation means to enhance and expand joint cooperation between the two sides through increasing the support presented to Syria, in a way that positively reflect on the livelihood of citizens.

 

During the meeting, Minister Makhlouf stressed the importance of coordination, joint work and rapid respond to the population’s requirements to achieve the goal of the program and the Higher Relief Committee and to carry out further programs, hailing the efforts exerted by the program in Syria to increase the level of support and aid.

 

For his part, Beasley expressed hope to expand the scope of the program’s work in Syria, ensuring the necessary support for the needy and the poor people, and establishing sustainable projects in their areas that contribute to improving their livelihoods.
