Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Omrani discussed with the Director-General of the Belarusian official news agency Belta Irina Akulovich the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and the efforts exerted to develop them in various domains, including the media field
During the meeting, the two sides pointed out to the important role of the media to confront various types of pressures, sanctions and unjust coercive measures imposed by the same countries and authorities on the two friendly countries.
They stressed the importance of deeply-rooted cooperation between the Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, and the Belarusian News Agency, BELTA, in the face of the media war and the distorted image that Western media are trying to promote about the two countries and their stances.
