SYRIAN OPPOSITION RENEWS CALL FOR NO PLACE FOR ASSAD IN A FUTURE SYRIA

ROME, Italy, - The chairman of the Supreme Commission for Negotiations, emanating from the Syrian opposition, Riyadh Hijab, renewed the opposition's call that there is no room for Bashar Al-Assad, in a future Syria, expressing the Syrian opposition's wish, to resume negotiations on the crisis in Syria.

In a press conference, following talks with the Italian foreign minister, Paolo Gentlioni, at the headquarters of the Italian foreign ministry in Rome today, Hijab said, the return of the opposition delegation to the negotiating table is not preconditioned, as the negotiations were based on the implementation of the international legitimacy resolutions.

He said, the return to negotiations requires clear and to-the-point agenda, for a political transition, based on Geneva I declaration, and rejection of any solution that keeps Assad in power.-
