Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee, Russian Ambassador discuss bolstering bilateral relations

Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee at the People’s Assembly and Russian Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yefimov discussed on Sunday aspects to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and means to upgrade them, especially parliamentary relations.

 

Members of the Committee affirmed the significance of continuing joint work to serve the interests of the two countries and contribute to strengthen their unified stances at the international arenas, voicing appreciation over the Russia’s stances towards Syria at the international forums, and its active role in the fight against terrorism on the ground.

 

“Russia has been and remains willing to offer all support to Syria and its people” the Ambassador said.

 

He called for intensifying meetings between both sides to achieve the desired benefits and goals for the two friendly countries.

 

Yefimov noted that establishing branches of Russian universities in Syria is being discussed, and bolstering the cultural exchange, in addition to studying the reconstruction process and working to settle COVID-19 vaccine production in Syria.
