Technical meetings of Jordanian-Egyptian joint committee kicks off in Amman

Meetings of the Technical Committee of the Committee emanating from the preparatory meeting of the 31st session of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee kicked off Saturday in Amman. The session will be held in Amman on Monday and chaired by the Prime Ministers of both countries. The committee held intensive sectoral sessions throughout the day, during which it discussed in detail issues of bilateral cooperation, and mechanisms for increasing cooperation in various fields at the bilateral level, as well as the trilateral framework that includes Iraq, as well as the quadruple partnership that includes, in addition to Jordan and Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain. The technical meetings were chaired by Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, Dana Zoubi, on the Jordanian side, and advisor to the Minister of International Cooperation and supervisor of the Arab and African cooperation sector at the Ministry of International Cooperation, Tariq Al-Shaarawi, on the Egyptian side, in the presence of representatives of all relevant ministries and institutions from both sides. Zoubi said that the technical meetings are very importance as they are the most convened and monitored to implement what is agreed upon and reached in terms of agreements and documents that frame cooperation between the two countries, noting that the technical committee discussed cooperation in various fields, especially economic ones. She added that the technical committee will submit findings to the preparatory committee, the meetings of which are scheduled to be held on Sunday and chaired by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Minister of Labor Youssef Shamali, and Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat.
