Temperatures will notably drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere, accompanied by a relatively cold and wet air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes with a chance for showers over different areas across the country, and the rains will be heavy sometimes over the coastal region.
The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a moderate speed and active gusts that exceed 70km/h sometimes, especially in the southeastern and inland regions while the sea waves will be medium in height.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 28/19, Daraa 28/20, Homs 28/19, Lattakia 30/24, Aleppo 29/22 and Deir Ezzor 34/23.
