Trade Minister: Expo 2020 Dubai is opportunity to show what future holds for Egypt

Egypt has attached great attention to its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, given that it is the first time the global event is hosted by an Arab state, Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said.

“We strive to make an image of Egypt as a promising investment destination with myriad opportunities in light of the mega smart city, road and infrastructure projects under construction nationwide,” Gamea told reporters covering ongoing celebrations of Egypt’s National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai on Saturday 30/10/2021.

She added that Egypt’s unique participation in the expo is focused on revealing its national identity as a peaceful state seeking integration with other countries through its mega development initiatives at the Arab, African, and international levels.

The event provides a great opportunity to show the world what the future holds for Egypt and promote joint Arab action, Gamea said, according to a press release by her ministry.

It also offers a good platform for sharing expertise and technology and driving joint action on sustainable development goals, the minister noted, extending appreciation and greetings to the UAE leadership for the successful organization of the event.
