Trade Ministry keen on improving services offered to exporters, importers: Gamea

Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Gamea said Sunday the ministry is keen on improving the services offered to exporters and importers through commitment to implementing the latest regulations and standards applied in the inspection and release of exported or imported consignments so as to ease trade movement between Egypt and other world countries.

This came during the minister’s meeting with Board Chairman of the General Organization for Import and Export Control (GOEIC) and the Egyptian Chemistry Authority for talks on the plan of action for the coming phase and means of activating the role of GEOIC in upping exports and promoting the national economy.

The minister noted that the coming phase required the support of all GEOIC’s staff to cope up with the rapid changes taking place in the Egyptian economy.

She gave directives of forming a committee of leaders of the GEOIC and the chemistry authority to outline a comprehensive vision for merging the two entities.
