TRILATERAL SYRIA MEETING TO TAKE PLACE TUESDAY (TODAY): U.N.

GENEVA, Switzerland, - The Office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, indicated Monday, that, Staffan de Mistura would take part in a meeting between representatives of the United States and Russia, here Tuesday (today), to discuss a number of key issues, in a bid to resume the Syria peace talks, as soon as possible.

"The United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, has been invited to participate in a trilateral meeting, called by the International Syria Support Group co-chairs, to discuss the situation on the ground and how to move forward on the political process," the UN office said in a statement.

The UN-mediated peace process, seeking to broker a political end to the five-year conflict in Syria, has been on hold since Apr, this year.
