Türkiye said Wednesday that it will send a delegation to attend an upcoming two-day meeting of Muslim countries’ foreign ministers.

Deputy Foreign Minister Mehmet Kemal Bozay will be leading the delegation in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott, set to host the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) beginning on Thursday, Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“The meeting will give an opportunity for a comprehensive exchange of views among the OIC Member States where Deputy Foreign Minister Bozay will share Türkiye’s views regarding the issues related to the international and regional agenda,” the statement said.

The ministry also noted that Bozay would hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the council’s 49th session.
