Two Palestinians sustained injuries from rubber-coated rounds while dozens suffered from suffocation today as Israeli occupation forces suppressed the weekly anti-occupation protest in the town of Kafr Qaddum, in the occupied West Bank governorate of Qalqilya, local sources said. Morad Shtewi, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets and toxic tear gas towards the protesters. As a result, two Palestinian civilians were injured, while many others suffered suffocation from teargas inhalation. The injured were treated on-site by the Palestinian Red Crescent teams. The village of Kafr Qaddum has been the site of regular demonstrations against Israeli settlements and the illegal confiscation of Palestinian lands. These protests serve as a platform for residents to voice their rejection of the ongoing Israeli occupation policies that infringe upon their rights and hinder their daily lives.
