Irbid: Two works ministry staff of the Irbid Public Works Directorate were injured from smoke inhalation from a fire that broke out on Wednesday in a diesel storage tank outside the directorate building.
Irbid Works Director Rehab Atoum told the Jordan News Agency that the fire broke out in a small diesel tank behind the directorate building while one of the directorate’s staff was welding an empty tank adjacent to the diesel tank, leading to sparks flying and causing a fire.
Atoum added that firefighters put out the fire at “a record speed,” noting that the directorate building was not damaged from within from the fire.
