UAE team head for snooker world championships

Dubai: The UAE national snooker team leaves for Latvia on Monday to participate in the World Snooker Championships, which will be held in Riga from November 26 to December 8.

Some 60 countries from around the world will take part, with each team sending three players plus a veteran aged over 40 for the masters category.

The UAE is sending Mohammad Shehab, Mohammad Al Joker and Khalid Kamali, plus Salem Ali Salem as their masters players. They will be accompanied by Abdul Moneim Al Khattal as head of mission and Mohammad Abdullah Yousuf and Saeed Al Harmoudi.
