Damascus- the Syrian –Venezuelan Friendship Committee at the People’s Assembly discussed on Tuesday with Jose Gregorio Piomorji Musatis, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus means to enhance and develop relations in different domains in the interests of the two friendly peoples.
Chairman and members of the committee pointed out to the importance of the deeply-rooted Syrian-Venezuelan relations and the need to intensify parliamentary visits and exchange experiences between the two countries, calling for the opening of joint cultural centers and the revitalization of scientific exchange via student scholarships and the formation of a council of businessmen in both countries.
For his part, Ambassador Piomorji ,stressed the importance of increasing Venezuelan-Syrian cooperation and intensifying joint activities and events in a way that strengthens the bonds of friendship between the two peoples, expressing his country’s readiness to contribute to the reconstruction process in Syria.
