Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds 4 million and 239 thousand

Capitals-The novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 4,239,000 persons worldwide, since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the last statistics by the American Worldometers Website.

 

The website added that the total number of coronavirus infections worldwide has reached up to 198,947,660, and the deaths have amounted to 4,239,148, while the recoveries have reached up to 179,566,318.

 

The US still tops the worst affected countries by the virus in terms of infections and deaths as it has recorded 629,380 deaths out of 35,766,653 infections.

 

India comes second with 424,808 deaths out of 31,695,368 infections, then Brazil comes in the third place as it has registered 556,834 deaths out of 19,938,358 infections.
