Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 3 million and 555 thousand people worldwide, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website, which tracks the latest developments of the virus.
According to the website, the total number of the coronavirus worldwide has reached up to 171,000,526, while the deaths have amounted to 3,555,956, and the recoveries have climbed to 153,086,591.
The US still on top of the worst-hit countries by the virus in terms of the number of the recorded infections and fatalities after registering 609,541 deaths out of 34,042,689 infections, while India comes in the second place with 329,127 deaths out of 28,046,957 infections.
Meanwhile, Brazil comes in the third place with 461,931 out of 16,515,120 infections.
