Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the United Nations should be a platform for finding solutions and drafting international law, and not a mechanism for satisfying the interests of some Western countries.
Sputnik quoted Zakharova in an interview with Russia 1 as saying that the UN Security Council should not be run by those who want to the subjugate the UN to serve their interests.
“This international organization is a mechanism to find agreements and draft of international law and find commitments and points of convergence between countries to avoid collapse and chaos in the world,” the Russian spokeswoman added.
