The media center of the cabinet denied reports on pollution of Alexandria port water due to the leakage of oil from a huge ship.
The center said it contacted the Environment Ministry that dismissed as groundless the reports.
There are no oil spots in the port water, it said.
The center urged media outlets to verify the authenticity of news before publishing them to avoid disrupting public order.
