The Foreign Ministry thanked the Ministry of Sports for its efforts to render Egypt’s participation in an Egyptian-Russian youth forum, the first ever, successful.
The forum was organized by the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs in Moscow and Kazan on May 17-22.
The Sports Ministry said Friday it received a letter from the Foreign Ministry, which greatly appreciated big efforts exerted to get the Egyptian youth ready for the event. 7
Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy had personally followed up preparations for the forum, which had also been approved by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
This is the first youth exchange program after more than 18 months halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Sports Ministry had delegated 27 Egyptian youth specialized in different fields to Russia to participate in the event.
