Syrian-Jordanian discussions on environmental cooperation

Sharm El-Sheikh, SANA-The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with his Jordanian counterpart, Dr. Moawiya al-Radaydah, means of cooperation and integration in the environmental fields to reduce the effects of climate change and dust storms, and benefit from the experiences of both sides.

Makhlouf voiced his hope that the cooperation will yield joint works and projects that will have an impact on reducing climate changes and dust storms that have begun to hit the region frequently and left great impacts on the environment.

For his part, al-Radaydah pointed out the importance of joint cooperation in this field and the necessity of exchanging experiences that can be used to carry out work in this context.

The talks came on the sidelines of participation in the 27th  conference of the state’s parties to the UN framework Convention on climate change.
