Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) affirmed that 30th June 2026 is the deadline for private sector establishments with 50 or more employees to achieve their Emiratisation targets for the first half of 2026. This deadline necessitates a 1 percent increase in the Emiratisation rate of skilled jobs within these companies for the first six months, aligning with existing Emiratisation policies. These policies also require an additional 1 percent growth for the latter half of the year, aiming for a total of 2 percent by the year's end.
According to Emirates News Agency, starting from 1st July 2026, financial contributions will be imposed on establishments failing to meet the Emiratisation rates for the first half of the year. The Ministry has urged companies to intensify their efforts and meet the requirements promptly, emphasizing the use of the Nafis platform to connect with job-seeking UAE citizens.
The Nafis programme, extended until 2040 under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to enhance job stability for Emirati citizens. Recent updates to the programme include increased child allowance support and extended financial support periods. MoHRE commended the private sector's adherence to Emiratisation policies, reflecting their commitment to national responsibilities and economic contributions.
Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the efficacy of its inspection and monitoring systems, now upgraded with AI tools, to detect negative practices such as 'Fake Emiratisation' schemes. Companies found in violation of the policies face legal actions, including a downgrade in MoHRE's establishment classification system and mandatory corrective measures.
MoHRE encourages citizens to report any policy violations through its Call Centre, smart application, or website, ensuring privacy and prompt responses. The Ministry remains dedicated to supporting compliant companies, offering benefits through the Nafis programme, competitive advantages, and membership in the Emiratisation Partners Club, which provides up to 80 percent discounts on service fees and priority in government procurement systems, fostering business growth opportunities.
