Abu dhabi: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the 'Mother of the Nation', the 5th Abu Dhabi Family Forum 2025 was launched at Al Bahia Plaza in Abu Dhabi, continuing until December 23. The event emphasizes the family's pivotal role in building a stronger and more stable society.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum is organized by the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and the H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Excellence and Community Intelligence Programme. It was attended by prominent figures such as Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council, and Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, among others. The forum aims to serve as a national platform, promoting the family's status as a strategic partner in comprehensive development and fostering dialogue to enhance family stability and social cohesion.
The forum targets various community segments, including children, youth, senior citizens, and People of Determination, as well as public and private sector institutions. It seeks to integrate the family into societal development efforts, promoting unity and Emirati values.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the forum's alignment with H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's vision, highlighting the importance of family cohesion and quality of life as investments in the nation's future. He noted that the initiatives of the FDF aim to empower families and reinforce their role in building a cohesive society.
Abdulla Al Hamed remarked that the forum enhances awareness and strengthens family cohesion, creating a space for expertise sharing and intergenerational communication. He praised the efforts of the FDF and its partners in celebrating the contributions of senior citizens and providing platforms for youth and children to engage and learn.
