ABU DHABI: The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH) has partnered with Microsoft to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into the healthcare system, a move announced during the GITEX Global Week 2024. This collaboration aims to transform patient care, enhance population health, and solidify Abu Dhabi's status as a leader in digital health solutions. According to Emirates News Agency, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Ibrahim Al Jallaf, Executive Director Digital Health at DoH, and Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, in the presence of Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi. The agreement focuses on employing AI to improve healthcare outcomes, facilitate early diagnosis, personalize patient care, and optimize research and clinical trials. The partnership will utilize Microsoft's AI Copilot and conversational AI advisors to provide personalized healthcare solutions, aiming to revolutionize the way diseases are managed and clinical trials are conducted. By leveraging AI and advanced data analytics, the initiative will extract valuable insights from extensive health data, both structured and unstructured, to improve decision-making processes within the healthcare sector. Ibrahim Al Jallaf highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership, stating, "Our agreement with Microsoft today reflects Abu Dhabi's unwavering commitment to leading global healthcare innovation.
