Dubai Studio City Reports 12% Growth in Global Talent Community for First Half of 2024

Dubai Studio City: Dubai Studio City, the Middle East's premier hub for content creation, has experienced significant growth, with a reported increase of over 11.5% in its global talent community during the first half of 2024. This development highlights Dubai's ongoing appeal and effectiveness in attracting creative professionals from around the world, particularly from the Indian subcontinent. According to Emirates News Agency, Dubai Studio City, a key sector-specific business district managed by TECOM Group PJSC, is actively expanding its influence in the global media landscape. As a Platinum Partner of the Broadcast India Show held from October 17th to 19th in Mumbai, Dubai Studio City was able to showcase its thriving ecosystem and the opportunities it offers to content creators. The district is part of the TECOM Group's Media Cluster, which also includes Dubai Media City and Dubai Production City, fostering a dynamic environment for professionals across various sectors such as film, TV, radio productio n, advertising, and media support services. Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of the Media Cluster at TECOM Group, emphasized the strategic role of the district in meeting the evolving needs of international audiences. He highlighted the district's initiatives such as the Golden Visa programme, which has been instrumental in attracting top-tier talent, including renowned Indian filmmakers and creative personalities, to Dubai. One of the standout features of Dubai Studio City is its partnership with the Dubai Film and TV Commission. This collaboration enhances the district's capacity to support a wide range of content production activities, providing seamless experiences for producers, film crews, and filmmakers. The district boasts extensive facilities, including some of the region's largest Sound Stages and the in5 Media startup and entrepreneurship incubator. These facilities recorded more than 358,000 minutes of original content across 198 calendar days of shoots and recording sessions. The Media Cluster, which houses more than 3,500 local, regional, and international customers and over 38,000 creative professionals, continues to be a pivotal platform for nurturing new talent and future-focused storytellers through initiatives like in5 Media.
