AMMAN: President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, emphasized the necessity of precise data in studies aimed at boosting the development and competitiveness of the industrial sector in both local and export markets. His remarks came during the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Amman Chamber of Industry and the Department of Statistics (DoS). According to Jordan News Agency, Jaghbir highlighted the industrial sector's aspiration to strengthen collaboration with the DoS to conduct joint studies and research on the current state and future trends of the industry. The partnership aims to facilitate the publication of industrial statistics and carry out field surveys to gather essential data. This initiative will help assess opportunities, address challenges, and prepare surveys to collect precise information in alignment with national priorities. Haidar Freihat, Director General of the Department of Statistics, stated that his department, which serves as the sole go vernment agency responsible for providing various social, economic, population, and agricultural statistics, will supply the Amman Chamber of Industry with relevant data and indicators concerning the national economy and industrial sector.
