ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi is set to host a second relief aid collection event for Lebanon on Tuesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Scheduled from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Hall No. 1, the event is part of the ongoing "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign. According to Emirates News Agency, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) will organize the event under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the ERC. The campaign was initially launched on October 8th following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President. It has been closely monitored by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and overseen by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Phila nthropic Council. Dr. Hamdan bin Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ERC, highlighted the UAE's commitment to global humanitarian efforts, emphasizing its rapid response to disaster and conflict situations worldwide. Dr. Al Mazrouei remarked that the UAE's ongoing humanitarian and charitable work in various countries aims to ensure security and stability, continuing the legacy of the nation's founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The nationwide campaign was designed to mobilize the UAE community, including individuals, institutions, and both public and private sector organizations, in a unified effort to support Lebanon.
