UAE Motorsports Team Prepares for FIA Motorsport Games 2024 in Spain

DUBAI: The UAE Motorsports Team is set to participate in the FIA Motorsport Games 2024, scheduled to take place from October 23 to 27 in Valencia, Spain. This prestigious event, dubbed the "Race of Nations," will feature over 1,000 competitors from more than 85 countries, highlighting the international spirit of the competition. According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE team will compete in six disciplines, reflecting the growing grassroots motorsport culture in the country and offering young athletes a chance to showcase their skills on a global platform. The team is comprised of eight athletes, including Saif Alameri, who will represent the UAE in the GT Sprint category. Alameri is noted for his significant international exposure, having achieved frequent podium finishes in events such as the GT Middle East Championship, 24H Dubai, 6H Abu Dhabi, and the Imola Porsche Cup in Italy. The UAE's representation in Karting Endurance includes athletes Humaid Alketbi, Ahmad Alhammadi, and Rauda Altenaiji, alongsi de emerging talent Faris Haroun in Karting Mini. The Karting Endurance team features a mixed-gender lineup, tasked with completing a rigorous six-hour, non-stop race as mandated by the competition's regulations. Faris Haroun, the youngest member of the team, achieved victory in his class at the MENA Karting Cup last December. In esports, Ghanem Almazrouei and Eisa Almarar will compete in the Formula 4 and GT categories, respectively, following their triumphs in the inaugural EMSO eRacing Summer Tournaments held last month. Hazza Alhosani will represent the UAE in the Drifting series, further diversifying the team's participation across different motorsport disciplines.
