DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, underscored the significance of the public-private sector collaboration in bolstering the UAE's status as a global economic hub during a meeting at Zabeel Palace. The meeting, attended by local dignitaries, investors, businessmen, and senior government officials, focused on the UAE's strategic approach to sustainable economic growth and leadership across various sectors. According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed attributed the UAE's success to the visionary leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He praised Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's forward-thinking approach, which emphasizes human well-being, innovation, and prosperity. Sheikh Mohammed stressed the necessity for collective efforts from all societal sectors to drive comprehensive development and maintain the UAE's leadership. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that the partnership between the public and private sectors has propelled the UAE to achieve top rankings in global competitiveness indices. These accomplishments align with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position Dubai among the world's top three urban economies. He emphasized the importance of enhancing Dubai's business environment, competitiveness, and transparency to keep it as a preferred destination for investors. Furthermore, Sheikh Mohammed spoke about Dubai's commitment to being a model for a future-ready economy and a significant player in the digital economy. He stressed the need to expand the digital economy, adopt advanced technologies, and strengthen Dubai's digital infrastructure to boost international competitiveness. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed engaged with attendees on various topics related to Dubai's development and the collaboration between its public and private sectors. Notable attendees included H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh a Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, among others. On the sidelines, Sheikh Mohammed attended a lecture by Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, titled "Plant the Emirates: Continuing the Legacy of Zayed." The lecture highlighted the national programme 'Plant the Emirates,' launched by Sheikh Mohammed to continue the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
