Rain, Cloudy Weather Expected Across UAE from Wednesday to Friday

ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast predicting rainy and cloudy conditions across the United Arab Emirates from Wednesday through Friday this week. The forecast highlights the influence of moist easterly winds and convective cloud formations, potentially resulting in varying intensities of rainfall. According to Emirates News Agency, the meteorological analysis indicates that on Wednesday, moist winds from the Oman Sea will impact eastern regions, leading to the development of local convective clouds over the eastern and northern parts of the UAE. This atmospheric activity could result in rainfall in these areas. The forecast further outlines that on Thursday and Friday, a moist air mass originating from the Arabian Sea is expected to move towards the UAE. This will coincide with a weak low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and the presence of a relatively cold air mass. The combination of these meteorological elements is anticipated to foster convective cloud formation over scattered areas, particularly in the east and west, with the possibility of light to moderate rain that may become heavy at times. The weather report also mentions that winds will vary throughout the forecast period. Light to moderate southeasterly winds may shift to northeasterly and northwesterly directions, with potential for fresh to strong gusts, especially near cloud formations. These winds might cause blowing dust and sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility in certain regions.
