AMMAN: Following directives from the Jordanian royalty, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates has successfully evacuated 50 Jordanian citizens and their families from Lebanon, as announced on Wednesday. According to Jordan News Agency, the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) facilitated the evacuation using a military aircraft, which also delivered essential food, relief supplies, medicine, and medical equipment to Lebanon. This flight represents the 12th aid mission from Jordan to Lebanon and is the sixth evacuation flight organized for Jordanian nationals in the region. So far, 164 Jordanian citizens and their families have been safely evacuated through RJAF flights, with all evacuees having registered on an evacuation platform managed by the Jordanian embassy. The coordinated effort involves the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates, the Jordanian Armed Forces, security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management. The initiative aims to ensure the safe ret urn of Jordanian nationals amid ongoing Israeli military actions in Lebanon. Since early August, 3,353 Jordanians have returned from Lebanon, with many traveling by air through Queen Alia International Airport or by land via the Jaber Border Crossing. The Jordanian embassy in Lebanon remains active in facilitating evacuations and ensuring citizens' return routes overland through Syria. The embassy is vigilant in monitoring the safety of Jordanians in Lebanon, confirming that there have been no injuries reported among them. Spokesperson Sufian Qudah urged Jordanian citizens in Lebanon who wish to evacuate to promptly register on the ministry's evacuation platform or to reach out to the ministry or the embassy for assistance through available hotlines and email.
