Amman: The 52nd Annual Conference of the Jordanian Society of Surgeons commenced with discussions centered on advancements in surgical specialties, enhancing health services, and fostering medical tourism. The event, which began on Thursday, brings together professionals to explore scientific and technical developments that aim to raise the standards of healthcare delivery. According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Muhammad Hirout, Chairman of the Jordanian Society of Surgeons, emphasized the conference's role in demonstrating the national commitment to surgical excellence and innovation. He highlighted the importance of integrating modern surgical techniques to advance patient care and improve healthcare standards. Dr. Mohammad Kofhi, Head of the Department of Specialized Surgery at the Ministry of Health, noted the participation of international colleagues as an affirmation of the confidence in Jordan's scientific capabilities. This participation underscores the country's standing in the medical field. Dr. Fa rouk Al-Sabai, representing the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Endoscopic Surgery Association, described the conference as a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange. He stated that the event aims to enhance surgical care standards, promote innovation, and address regional and global challenges through the latest developments in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Ziad Zoubi, President of the Jordan Medical Association, remarked on the establishment of a strong medical foundation in Jordan, positioning the Kingdom as a preferred destination for Arab and foreign patients seeking medical treatment.
