Jordan Commends United Nations on Anniversary of Founding

Amman: On United Nations Day, marking the anniversary of the organization's founding on October 24, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates in Jordan extended its congratulations to the UN. According to Jordan News Agency, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the official spokesperson for the ministry, praised the United Nations for its significant role over nearly 80 years in promoting global peace, security, development, and the protection of human rights. Ambassador Qudah emphasized Jordan's steadfast commitment to the principles and objectives of the UN Charter, underlining his belief that international cooperation and multilateralism are essential in addressing the complex challenges facing the region and the world today. Ambassador Qudah highlighted the United Nations' vital functions in providing humanitarian aid, resolving conflicts, combating climate change, and fostering sustainable development, describing the organization as a beacon of hope for nations and peoples aspiring for a more just and peaceful world . Jordan takes pride in its longstanding and fruitful partnership with the United Nations, especially in the domains of refugee support and regional peace efforts, Ambassador Qudah remarked.
