MPDA Recognizes Winners of 15th Ajman Agriculture Award 2024

AJMAN: The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman (MPDA) announced the recipients of the 15th Ajman Agriculture Award 2024, an initiative aimed at promoting agricultural efforts and encouraging exemplary practices to enhance afforestation and expand green spaces in the Emirate of Ajman. According to Emirates News Agency, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, emphasized during the award ceremony at Al Raqaib Forest Park that agriculture signifies both a lifestyle and a hallmark of civilization. He noted that the MPDA is committed to transforming Ajman into one of the leading green cities globally by advancing its afforestation projects across the emirate. Al Nuaimi highlighted the department's dedication to organizing the annual incentive award, valued at AED 100,000, to motivate both governmental and private sectors, as well as community members, to enhance agricultural areas, foster a culture of environmental consciousness, and elevate agricultural standards. Ahmed Saif Al M uhairi, Director of the Agriculture and Public Parks Department at the MPDA, stated that the award embraces inclusivity, offering opportunities to home gardens, mosques, schools, governmental bodies, and agricultural initiatives throughout Ajman. Al Muhairi also congratulated the winners and mentioned that the award aligns with the 'Plant the Emirates' initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which seeks to encourage agricultural projects and community contributions in the sector.
