5th Dubai Shoulder Surgery Conference Highlights Advanced Arthroscopic Techniques

DUBAI: The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences is currently hosting the fifth Dubai Shoulder Surgery Conference and Exhibition, organized by the Emirates Orthopedic Division in conjunction with the Arab Shoulder and Elbow Society. The event, taking place from October 25 to 27, features participants from 18 countries and aims to enhance the analytical, diagnostic, and therapeutic practices for laparoscopic shoulder surgery. According to Emirates News Agency, the conference, organized by Infoplus Events, includes contributions from 48 regional and international lecturers. Dr. Saeed Al-Thani, President of the Arab Society of Shoulder and Attachment and a consultant in orthopedic surgery, medical endoscopy, sports medicine, and joint reconstruction, highlighted the conference's focus on new principles and techniques. Topics of discussion encompass injuries around the shoulder, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, joint implantation, fracture management, and complex shoulder conditions. The conference serves as a platform for experts and faculty to discuss best-known practices, the latest technology, and evidence-based research related to joint injury care. The program offers 16 scientific sessions, 85 lectures, four live surgeries, and workshops, including three for cadaver operations and a physiotherapy workshop. Additionally, there are three seminars for the industrial sector, with participation from over 15 companies prominent in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry, sponsoring the event.
