ERC’s Winter Aid Campaign to Benefit 250,000 People Worldwide.

Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched its winter aid campaign, benefiting 250,000 people around the world. This initiative aims to mitigate the impact of cold weather, particularly in countries hosting refugees. According to Emirates News Agency, the campaign includes the distribution of large quantities of food and health packages, winter clothing, heating devices and materials, blankets, children's supplies, and other shelter materials. Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the ERC, emphasized that the winter aid programme is designed to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable groups in countries known for their cold weather and seasonal fluctuations during this time of year. The initiative also targets refugees both inside and outside camps who face harsh natural conditions that affect their health, particularly children and the elderly. He reaffirmed the ERC's commitment to strengthening its humanitarian efforts for those affected by climatic conditions in dozens of countries worldwide. Al Mansouri added, "Food is considered a protective shield for those affected by the winter, especially for their health, which is why the ERC gives it great attention during the coming period."
