RAS AL KHAIMAH: The Ras Al Khaimah Investment and Trade Summit 2024 (RAKIS 2024) concluded with significant contributions from government departments and investment groups, reinforcing Ras Al Khaimah's status as an emerging investment hub. The event, themed 'Propelling Ras Al Khaimah as an investment powerhouse', showcased the emirate's strategic development plans and investment opportunities. According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Engineer Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, highlighted the emirate's growth trajectory. In his keynote address, Sheikh Salem outlined the commitment of the Ras Al Khaimah government to attract investors through projects in the hospitality sector, business setups, and tourism. He emphasized the goal of welcoming over 3 million tourists by 2030, facilitated by investments in infrastructure and the entry of Wynn Resorts. Sheikh Salem noted the crucial role of the Department of Civil Aviation and the development of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in driving the emirate's economic growth. With its strategic location enabling access to a third of the global population within a 4-hour flight, Ras Al Khaimah is positioned as a prime destination for tourism, investment, and residency. The participation of air carriers such as Air Arabia, GoIndigo, Air India Express, and European charters like Azur Air, Centrum Air, Smart Wings, Ural Airlines, and S7 Airlines, underscores the emirate's growing aviation industry. These developments are enhancing Ras Al Khaimah's appeal to investors and tourists alike. In his closing remarks, Sheikh Salem reiterated Ras Al Khaimah's unmatched potential for growth, emphasizing the need for balanced capital deployment and strategic focus on core business sectors to ensure sustainable development in the coming decades.
