According to Emirates News Agency, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement indicating that Minister Iwaya highlighted the many civilian casualties attributed to the resumption of military operations in Gaza. He strongly urged all involved parties to return to negotiations and work sincerely towards maintaining the ceasefire agreement. Minister Iwaya also called for adherence to international law, emphasizing the protection of civilians and the provision of humanitarian assistance. He reiterated Japan's support for a two-state solution as vital for lasting peace.
